New Year's Resolution #4, Cure Addictions: Gambling

Completing the trifecta of addictions that many seek to cure themselves off in the New Year is gambling. We’ll feature just a few of these, but feel free to search Amazon or other bookseller for books on the subject.

John Eades, a recovering addict himself, wrote a book on the problem as well as how to recover. Read on for more books.

New Year’s Resolution #4, Cure Addictions: Digital Breath Alcohol Detector

New Year's Resolution #4, Cure Addictions: Digital Breath Alcohol Detector

Well, not quite a device to help you completely stop drinking, but the Breath Alcohol Detector will at a minimum tell you whether it’s safe or not to get into your car after you’ve had a few. Naturally, you can adapt it to become a tracker, and over time reduce the amount of alcohol you imbibe. The Digital Breath Alcohol Detector meets Department of Transportation (DOT)/National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) standards as a breath alcohol screener. One-button operation: the detector tests your breath alcohol in seconds and even checks that the sufficient air volume is exhaled.

Golfing: Putt Return System

Golfing: Putt Return System

Can you have too many golf accessories, toys, tools, game enhancers, trackers, etc.? In a word, nope. You’re not really any kind of golfer unless you’ve got one of these gadgets to help you practise your putting. On top of that, this is an automatic putt-return gadget, so you get your ball back in case your caddie isn’t available. 😉 One cool about this particular one is that its edges deflect off-line putts just like a real hole. It’s also portable and cordless, but what I really like is the electronic applause when you make a hole!
