Cool Costumes for Halloween

Normally the Geeks have a week’s worth of Halloween gizmos, but this year we’ve done something differently and created a couple new Halloween themed sites because we like Halloween so much including Cool Costumes for Halloween which features the coolest and newest new costumes. Themed costumes from Star Wars to Superheros exist on the site not to mention a category for sexy!

The Geeks warned you a month ago and every day for the past week but you forgot the high holy Hallmark day… Valentine’s Day.

Netgear’s latest Guest Blogger talks about Valentine’s Day

Jeremy Toeman from LIVEdigitally is guest blogging on Netgear’s “Innovation” Blog.

Yesterday his blog entry titled Stay Connected on Valentine’s Day: 5 Sweet Techie Tips mentioned a few great ideas for geeks including what looks like a couple ideas from GfG (digital picture frame and using opentable.com to pick a restaurant)! In addition Jeremy mentioned an interesting product called BrilliantImage and even had a review of it. Also mentioned were sweets as you can never go wrong with chocolate on Valentine’s Day… especially from his wife’s shop.

Complete Foot Massager

Moving on with the Valentine’s Day gizmos, we’ve found a complete foot massager. This isn’t your standard foot massager that simply vibrates or blows bubbles (in water) on the bottom of your feet. This Complete Foot Massager is called Complete for a reason. The massager uses a couple pairs of undulating padded footrests on a floating footpad that holds and kneads the sides of the feet.

Of course the footpad also vibrates the arches and soles which is needed for people like me that have freakishly high arches.

Finally you get wireless remote than allows you to manually control the vibration and kneading or can initiate a pre-set massage routine.

Give the gift of relaxation without having to cramp up your hands all the time.

Valentine’s Day Talking Tapes

History time! It’s well known how much Thomas Edison contributed to science and invention (even if he did steal from and intimidate many other inventors of the day). One thing you might not know is that he had a great sense of humor. It’s true. Tommy filed patents for many funny things including: glow in the dark DVDs, fruit flavored leather jackets, and exploding whoopee cushions (using real dynamite). Another one of his fun patents was for a way to make strips of material talk in your head. Presenting, based on Edison’s original patent, the Valentine’s Day Talking Tapes!

We warned you back on January 14th about Valentine’s Day! The Geeks featured Personalized Roses. While it’s too late to order Personalized Roses now for Valentine’s Day, the Geeks have come up with a couple suggestions for Valentine’s Day starting with something you can make your special someone yourself… a LED Flashing Sweetheart Kit!

The kit contains a circuit board, 28 LEDs and various diodes and resistors and needs to be soldered together with love.

Valentine’s Day is ONLY a month away. You think you’re off the hook because you and your significant other have decided to do nothing because Valentine’s Day is a made up Hallmark holiday… don’t fall into that trap! It will end badly, trust me.

If you want “extra points” and to have a non-“cold as ice” Valentine’s Day, do something interesting and different like snagging a dozen of these personalized roses. The roses will be embossed with whatever message you create up to 40 characters. This will guarantee a peaceful February!
