Badonkadonk Land Cruiser Review
Every once in awhile I’ll find something really random or weird on Amazon.com (like a Mongolian Goat Hide Pillow!?). But I think that a personal land cruiser/tank named after a giant ‘ass’ takes the cake.
The JL421 Badonkadonk Land Cruiser is a custom made tank modeled after Jabba’s Sail Barge from Star Wars. The exterior is a steel shell with a rust patina. Remember this is a “tank” so there’s lots of protective armor like fixed slats protecting the windows, and a unique industrial-strength rubberized flexible skirt that shields and protects the wheels to within an inch of the ground, while still allowing for enough flex to give clearance over bumpy and uneven terrain.

Wait! Before you click away because the picture just looks like a typical tin metal mint case, read on. This is actually a case designed to store your iPod Nano in while completely disguising what’s actually inside. Inside the tin metal case is high density EVA foam to protect your Nano, while hiding it. No, there are no holes in the case, as that might give away the game. The cases come in 2 styles, one of which is pictured here, and cost just under $10 each. Not bad if you park your car in high-crime areas.
Unfortunately, only cases exist for the iPod Nano right now, but others are being ‘designed’. Heh. Designed. Love the name of the company though – iDisguise. Really, what else could it be?!

Do you ever get that sinking feeling when your car stops working and your check engine light goes on? You know the drill – you don’t know anything about fixing cars and are at the mercy of whatever auto repair shop that happens to be in the area. This Pioneer in-dash auto A/V system plays DivX video files from CDs or DVDs on its 480p 7″ WVGA screen. Yep, so you can burn your own movies and then play them back in your car. [If you’re driving, you can’t watch!] Naturally, it plays other formats as well, including MP3, WMA, AAC, and even JPEG. If you have an iPod, you can interface it with this receiver via an adpater and then have control of your iPod via the touchscreen. One other very nice feature is its Bluetooth capabilities – you can tie your Bluetooth cell phone via an adapter to the AVH-P7800 and control it via the touchscreen. Integration means that you can listen to/talk on calls via the headunit (it has a microphone), audio is automatically muted during incoming/outgoing calls and you can store the phone book and access it by voice or the touch screen display.
