You’re looking at a photo of a prototype Sony PlayStation Phone. That’s right, a phone. The rumors are looking to be true, as Engadget got their hands on a bunch of photos and details.
The PSPhone will probably end up running Android 3.0 on a 1GHz Qualcomm chip with 512MB RAM and a 1GB ROM. The screen is in the 3.7-4.1″ range, and it’ll have a microSD slot.
Sure, it doesn’t look like much, kinda bland really, but keep in mind that this is still a prototype and surely Sony Ericsson will spruce this up before it hits the shelves. Now there is a question as to whether these photos are fake, at least so says Now Gamer.
As for whether it’ll be a hit, that remains to be seen. Are there enough gamer-types who want a portable device and want to consolidate enough to plunk down the 3+ bills this is likely to cost? Or are they ok with the likes of Angry Birds and Chicktionary on their iPhones and Androids?
